About Two Souls Spirits

Two Souls Spirits is an independent craft spirits bottling company headquartered in Houston TX with bottling operations in Madison WI. Founded in 2021, we specialize in sourcing, selecting, and bottling exceptional small-batch and single-barrel spirits from fantastic craft distillers nationwide. We curate "unique among the unique" releases in our mission to connect innovators and adventurers - sharing the stories and passion of our craft distiller partners and expanding the pallets of spirit enthusiasts.

What We Do

We bring unique, limited release spirits to market

We do not distill, but partner with craft distilleries to select and bottle limited-edition spirits under our label.

We bottle, we age, we barrel finish and we blend - sometimes just one and sometimes all of the above - to bring one-of-a-kind spirits to market with every single release

Our releases include:

  • Single barrel bourbons, ryes and American Single Malt whiskeys, Honey Spirits; Small-batch whiskey selections; Unique finished whiskeys (honey cask, wine cask, specialty finishes); Special releases highlighting underappreciated categories like light whiskey

Each bottle is hand-selected and released in limited quantities, ensuring quality and exclusivity for our customers.

The Whiskey Doctor

JAMES ESTRADA

James co-founded Two Souls and works with our distillery partners to identify exceptional barrels for each of our releases. He also oversees aging and barrel finishing to create our one-of-a-kind spirits.

He has been writing about American craft spirits (Bourbon Sippers) for the past decade, has been the co-host of the Whiskey Uncut Podcast since 2019, and started the Gainesville Whiskey Club in Gainesville, FL.

James has a PhD from the University of Florida and is currently a professor of Agronomy. In his spare time, James thinks about whiskey.

KAREN GENTRY

At Two Souls, Karen handles operations and marketing with a singular focus: delighting customers and sharing the joy of exceptional spirits.

A whiskey enthusiast for over a decade, she started a whiskey Instagram account (@whiskeykk) to discover new bottles, connect with fellow enthusiasts and share reviews of her growing collection. Karen fell in love with Two Souls as a customer and her passion was undeniable—she recently joined as an owner after posting about them on Instagram.

Karen has an MBA from Rice University and is currently in marketing at a global technology company.

Our Story


What began as a passion for discovering extraordinary craft spirits evolved into a mission to share these finds with fellow enthusiasts. James founded the company in 2021 and contributes deep industry knowledge and distillery relationships through both Two Souls and his ongoing podcast, Whiskey Uncut. Karen brings over a decade of whiskey expertise, having built a following through her @whiskeykk Instagram account. Together, we transitioned from advocates to curators, founding Two Souls Spirits to bottle the exceptional spirits we believe deserve wider recognition.

Our Philosophy: Curated by Two Souls

We don't just bottle whiskey—we curate experiences. Every release is chosen based on:

Exceptional quality - We taste extensively to find barrels worth sharing, and we only release spirits when they've reached their peak. If it's not ready, we don't bottle it.

Educational value - Introducing drinkers to styles they may have overlooked, from light whiskey to regional craft expressions, with context that helps them understand what makes each spirit special.

Storytelling - We share the passion and craft of our distillery partners—their unique techniques, heritage grains, and the stories behind what makes their spirits special. Each release celebrates the people and places that created it, featuring thoughtful naming and theming from Norse mythology to Americana narratives.


No compromises - We only release spirits at their peak. We maintain premium standards and bottle spirits as the distillery intended—many releases are uncut and unfiltered at cask strength to preserve their full character.
