We selected this cask strength bourbon from the award winning Watershed Distillery in Columbus, Ohio. Born and raised in the middle of America’s heartland, this three-grain bourbon (72% corn, 21% rye, 7% barley malt) impresses immediately with its delicate, yet undeniably rich and complex, flavor profile. We know that bourbon likely is not the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Ohio (It’s obviously Randy “Macho Man” Savage), but we are confident that this grain-to-glass Watershed bourbon will change that. Tasting Notes: Lively and complex with layers of dried apricots, orange blossoms, spices, and caramelized brown sugar
A bright, vibrant whiskey that instantly stood out among the barrels we sampled. While this bourbon was the most “off-profile” we sampled due to the lighter, more delicate flavor profile, its Watershed DNA is undeniable. This is a stunning whiskey that will appeal to not only bourbon fans, but also those that love a good, apricot-leaning Irish whiskey. A must-have for craft whiskey fans.
